The Opportunity

After building a loyal following through their original fast-casual concept, Chacha’s was ready to expand into a new chapter — one that elevated the dining experience while preserving the warmth, energy, and cultural authenticity that made the brand so loved within the community.

The new location introduced a more refined sit-down experience designed for longer stays, shared meals, celebrations, and deeper hospitality.

As the concept evolved,

Research revealed that the strength of Chacha’s extended far beyond the food itself.

What customers connected with most was the feeling behind the experience — the warmth of family hospitality, the vibrancy of the atmosphere, and the authenticity of a brand deeply rooted in Indian culture.

 The opportunity wasn’t to become a more polished version of a fast-casual restaurant. It was to create a space where cultural pride, elevated dining, and genuine hospitality could coexist naturally.

This led to the development of Chacha’s House — a concept designed to feel welcoming, expressive, and refined without losing the personality and energy of the existing Chacha’s.

Naming Strategy

To distinguish the new dining concept while maintaining equity within the existing brand, we developed the qualifier Chacha’s House.

The name reinforces the emotional core of the experience: being welcomed in, gathering around food, and feeling at home. It reflects the family-driven nature of the business while creating flexibility for the broader Chacha’s brand ecosystem moving forward.

Visual Identity

TRANSLATING THE WARMTH AND VIBRANCY OF THE SPACE INTO AN ELEVATED BRAND SYSTEM

The visual identity evolved the existing Chacha’s brand into something more immersive, refined, and experience-driven while preserving the personality that made the original location successful.

Inspired by the rich textures, patterns, and layered materiality of the restaurant interior, the system embraces a more expressive and elevated approach to color, typography, and graphic detail. Traditional influences were balanced with a contemporary execution to create a brand that feels vibrant, welcoming, and culturally grounded without feeling overly traditional or expected.

Illustrated natural elements, heritage-inspired details, and bold typography work together to create a visual language that feels playful, memorable, and full of life — reflecting both the energy of the food and the warmth of the people behind it.
