Tell employees what is changing, why the business made the decision, and what will stay the same before they have to answer customer questions. Show how the new positioning applies to real conversations, not just how the new logo looks. Give customer-facing staff a short message, examples of the new language, a timeline, and a place to raise questions they cannot answer yet. Leaders should be ready to explain the decision in their own words.
Let teams practise with common situations, such as introducing the company to a prospect or explaining a name change to a long-time client. Collect the questions that come up and update the guidance before the public announcement. Assign someone to keep approved files and wording easy to find after launch. REX’s Brand Foundation service includes culture and employee-facing materials among the places a brand needs to work.
